This is God’s promise and his plan for the seed (the children) of the righteous. Psalm112:1-2 They shall be mighty, successful, robust, and powerful in the land, Amen.
Like most promises of God for us, this plan is under threat but the bible says that the violent take it by force! Matt11:12. Paraphrased- Your children’s greatness and success is something you need to actively and forcefully take. Their salvation, decency, choices and destiny should be your concern.
In the book of Revelation11:1-7, we see how the enemy came after the seed of the woman. Vs17 tells us why you as a God loving human being is under attack. Genesis3:15 tell us how the seed of the woman shall bruise the head of Satan. No wonder the deceiver comes after our seed for only those who are empowered by God’s Holy Spirit can tread upon serpents and scorpion and over all the powers of the enemy. Luke10:19 Paraphrased. Woman, you must not be passive, you must contend for the promises of God to hold true in the lives of your children!
Elizabeth was a woman of God who loved and served God. She and her husband struggled to have a child, but when God finally answered their prayer, the devil subtly wanted to perpetrate generational curses through tradition but in Luke1:59-60, she said NO! To the plans of the enemy. She understood the will of God and insisted her child will only be called what God called him.
Are you saying no to Satan’s plans over your children?
Then you must:
- PRAY
- Exercise faith over their lives
- Speak the promises of God always over their lives
- Influence them positively- set good examples.
- Suggest good ideas to them, don’t fold your hands and watch them move with wrong crowds, attend night club, go to wild parties etc.
- Share the word of God with them.
As you pray over their lives, reject the weakness and failures you have seen in yourself and their father. Pray that affliction will not arise a second time in your children’s lives.
- Bind the strongman of their father’s house; Take back all their goodness the enemy may have stolen.
- Prophesy! Prophesy! Prophesy over their lives. Isaiah 54:13, Isaiah 8:18, Genesis 24:60b
- Jochebed took a bold step to protect her Godly son Moses.
Daughter of Zion, stand in the gap. Don’t give up and don’t give in on your seed. Start now and see what God can do. God bless you.
